Guillermo Álvarez Guedes (born in 1928) is a Cuban businessman, writer and comedian. He is better known across the world as Alvarez Guedes. During the early 1960s, he was forced into exile at Miami, Florida. During the 1970s and 1980s, Álvarez Guedes dedicated himself to recording comedy albums and writing comedy books. Guedes has written over 20 books, and his albums, alongside with television presentations and stand up comedy appearances have made him one of the most well liked Cuban comedians.
